After a three weeks silence on the sportsong front because of a trip to South Africa we are back! Since I have been back I have been busy organising an event and exhibition during Euro 2016. That's probably the reason for 'Campione 2000' by E-Type being Sportsong of the Week #47!

'Campione 2000' was the official theme song of Euro 2000 in my homecountry the Netherlands and Belgium. It was really popular during the tournament, reached #4 in the Dutch charts and has since been heard in football games around Europe. It's like a sportsong that has the goal of hyping you up for the game needs to be: easy lyrics, high speed music and catchy like a third baseman!
